This Saturday reminded Greg and I why we wanted to open Precision CrossFit one year ago. It had nothing to do with money or financial gains, nor was it about growth, although we do like those things, haha. What it was about was bringing the Conejo Valley and its surrounding communities, a quality CrossFit. One that people would seek out, be proud of, and want to train at to better their lives. When looking to open Precision we recognized that a solid community would be the core of our business and would be everything that we would stand for, hence our mottos; “Fitness-Strength-Community” and “Together We are One.” We wanted people to not only see Precision CrossFit as a CrossFit with great coaching and solid programing, but for its community first and foremost. We knew the rest would go along with it. In our opinion it is easy to fix coaching or find quality coaches. It is easy to adjust programming and make necessary changes. It is not easy to rebuild a community. In what seemed like a very short year we have done just that which was evident on Saturday as we witnessed our community celebrate in full force the box that they love.
Lynn and Lisa, two of our oldest members, offered up their beautiful home to us all. The rest of you came out for a fun celebration bringing cheerfulness, food and drinks. New members met, and mingled with old members with one thing in common, their love for Precision CrossFit. Many had done the very busy team wod earlier in the morning and had met there. While, some came to show their support from other gym’s that are very close to us, such as Nathan and Ginger Doud of Beachside CrossFit. You all brought your families and significant others, played in the pool, and broke your toes playing bad mitten, wait that was just Smiley, hahaha. It was a great time and I know next years will be even better. As we continue to grow as a box we want to thank you all for your friendship. We want you to know that we will never stop striving to be the best and believe us when we say community will always be first!
