I am happy to announce that I have signed a book deal with Breaking Muscle. I have been working on an adolescent strength and conditioning book for some time and it is going to be published! CrossFit is a love of mine but working with adolescent athletes is my passion. I am so excited to put my current life’s work into print. This has been a long time coming, but with all the events taking place personally within my family it kind of took a back seat. I am elated for the opportunity. In fact in an ordinary month I would be on top of the world. However, right now all I want is for my Father to get to better. I will dwell in the moment once my Dad is fully healed. He is in the hospital again for a few days due to some complications from his ordeal. He will be going home soon but his well-being is my first priority. I know I have put the work in regarding my career and love any successes that I have, but no amount of success can ever take the place of my family. They will always be number one because without them what do we really have? Accomplishments and goal reaching should be an integral part of life, but without a family to enjoy them with, a proud parent, a satisfied wife or sibling then they really are not as meaningful.

Once again I am ecstatic for the opportunity and as soon as my Dad is better I will have a beer with him to celebrate. As many of you know my Dad is a proud guy who relishes his family’s accomplishments. I can’t wait for him to relish this. However, not now, not from a hospital bed but later on, soon, anywhere else. I look forward to you all reading my book once it is published and to having a book signing party or something with my whole family around healthy and happy.
