NSCANATIONAL14

I am very excited to announce that this weekend I will be speaking at the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) National Conference. I will be doing a 45 min. talk on adolescent strength and conditioning and how to implement my programs and philosophies at other schools across the nation. It is a distinguished honor to be asked to speak for the NSCA and I could not be more excited. My goal when becoming a strength and conditioning coach more than 10 years ago was to become one of the top minds in the field. I have worked tirelessly towards this goal. When you do not see me at Precision I am most likely working on this very task. Everything I do is geared to the benefit of all the people I come in to contact with and most importantly my family. One of the hardest things for me has been to find balance. Spending time with my kids is everything to me but that can sometimes be hard to do when working towards my own goals as well as all of your goals collectively. However, in my own efforts I badly want to be great at everything. I want to be in the gym for you all day in and day at. I want to coach you at that competition and cheer you on as you accomplish milestones. I have gotten better and better at organizing my life around these things, working smarter not harder, and definitely working quicker. I could not have achieved this milestone in my life without the Precision community. Your confidence in me as a coach. Your dedication drives me to better myself. Our coaching staff in Hunter, Jose, Jess, Billy, Daniel, Katie and Daimino work hard to better themselves as well so that I can focus on my own goals and achievements. They deserve as much, if not more credit than I do for many of your successes. Greg Smiley takes over when I cannot and runs Precision beautifully doing all the tasks that I cannot complete. We make a great team. Last but certainly not least, my wife Emalee is the real super star here. What she does is incredible and often without any acknowledgment. She allows me to be the coach, man, and person I am today. She always supports me and pushes me to be my best, but will ground me when necessary for the good of the family. Without her I would be lost. She is my road map. I can’t wait to enjoy the experience with her by my side this weekend.
