A huge congratulations on the fantastic showing by all the Precision Barbell girls yesterday! In session 1 Danielle Marino hit a clean & jerk competition PR at 86kg (189.2 lbs.). She went 4 for 6 on the day and finished in 2nd place in the 58kg class. Christine Rees went 5 for 6 hitting a Snatch (60kg / 132lb), Clean & Jerk (75kg / 165lb), and Competition Total (135kg) PR! What a fantastic day for her on her wedding weekend in front of many friends and family. Lastly, Mallory Mazzuca in her first meet ever went 4 for 6 hitting a power snatch PR at 61kg (134.2 lbs). She also took 3rd place in the 58kg class, tying with Christine, which is fitting if you know these two well!

In the afternoon session we had 4 lifters, all of which continued where Danielle, Christine, and Mallory left off. Rocio Ramirez went 4 for 6 and hit a clean & jerk (77k / 170lb) competition PR to take 2nd in the 63kg weight class. This was followed by Deanna Douglas who hit a 1kg all time Snatch (65kg / 143lb) PR and a 1kg Clean (81kg / 178.2 lb) PR. Deanna took 1st in the 63kg weight class. In the 69kg class Lindsey Deitsch in her first career weightlifting meet went 5 for 6 hitting an all time Clean & Jerk PR at 88kg (193.6 lbs.)! She also took 2nd in the weight class ousting a former National competitor. Lastly, Urbana Sepulveda went 4 for 6, hitting a new all time Snatch PR (67kg / 147.4 lbs) and a competition Clean & Jerk PR at 88kg (193.6 lbs.). Urbana also PR’d her competition total to take 2nd in the 75+ weight class.

A day worth celebrating for the Wall of Blue! On behalf of the team, thank you all who came out to show your support. It meant the world to us and I know the girls were fired up to perform for those in attendance. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Until the next one!
