I am a firm believer that you can never stop learning. As soon as you think you know it all you have lost with all you can really gain being ignorance. The 2014 So Cal Regionals taught me many things. The most important thing was that it showed me how strong our wall of blue is. The amount of you that showed your support left me speachless. All I could do was keep thanking you all for being there and I truly meant it, thank you! I saw Precision shirts everywhere and it really put a smile on my face. It was a highlight of the weekend for me and made me satisfied to know that our community is that strong. Another thing I learned is that you cannot change anything. What happens on that floor stays on that floor. I and nobody else can change the outcome of a poorly judged event but what I can do is prepare my athlete’s to handle it better. This is something I plan to do in the coming year. Although, this effected us on the floor on several occasions the way in which our team handled it was flawless. No matter the issue they stayed calm and held it together. They relied on each other to help pull them through and when their back’s were against the wall others would step up. I am proud of our athlete’s character in how they carried themselves and represented Precision CrossFit. Another thing I learned was where Precision’s programing needs to go in order to stay ahead of the curve. What it is we need to focus more on and what are strengths are. In addition, I learned what each one of our athlete’s need in order to return to Regionals.

All in all it was a very successful competition with Team Precision finishing 18th and Katie Crowe 20th in So Cal. So Cal has been dubbed as the most competitive region in the world statistically. Even with the questionable calls I could not be any happier with how we faired. In all reality where we placed did not matter to me as much as whether we had fun or not. Above all else I wanted our athletes to enjoy themselves because having fun is truly what it is all about. The ladies crushing the rope climb / thruster workout was an awesome highlight for Team Precision while Katie Crowe’s performance on her legless rope climb workout was just epic. This years Team Precision was different then years past as we had more rookies on it then ever before. Jose, D and Kristen showed that they have the moxy to be back every year while Jess, Crystal and Daniel showed why this was their 3rd and 4th Regionals as they continue to get better. Katie showed how to compete with heart, humilty, and class being as humble in defeat as she was ferocious in victory. I am looking forward to 2015 and preparing Precision CrossFit as a whole in the coming year. Get ready P.C. if you have the will I lay out the pathway.
