I know you are all waiting for a Regional re-cap from me, so here goes. I’m going to keep this about the Precision athletes only. I have so many amazing things to say about all my atheltes that competed this weekend. However, I feel this blog in particular should all be about Precision CrossFit. As you all saw, this was a pretty awesome Regional for TEAM PRECISION. In fact, it was our best finish to date and the first time we ever battled into the top 10. We have gone to Regionals every year since we opened in 2012 with this being our 6th trip straight. Longevity is becoming harder and harder in this sport. So to compete in this day and age of CrossFit and be successful is something I am extremely proud of. Precision has grown with the sport and to this weekend battled with the best at one point only sitting 18 points from a CrossFit Games qualifying spot. Yes, that is how close the 2017 team came. Yes, they were that good.

The experience was real and the team could tell that they were not just competing for themselves… but for everyone. You supported them, and they wanted to do well for you. We spoke nightly in our team meetings about the fact that they were representing the WALL OF BLUE. How they carried themselves, their body language, and overall attitudes would show up on the workout floor as representations of us all. It was important to be a direct representation of the kind of gym Precision is. The group of individuals that made up this year’s team were all remarkable humans. They all put their egos aside and the TEAM first. They got along beautifully and made sure to have a blast with each other. I could not have been more proud to coach this team this year. I’m honored to say that to date they are the best we have put on the floor. You all have the right to be very proud of them because they were fired up to be out there for you! Your cheers and well wishes were heard and it literally gave them goosebumps to fight on that floor… for you.

In regards Lindsey Deitsch. Talk about selflessness. For her first time since entering Precision’s doors, she walked onto the competition floor as an individual. Lindsey is a heck of a Team athlete. Although I know she loved going Team every year, her going individual opened up the door for others to make the Regional roster. Her performances were filled with heart and determination. She had massive triumphs, especially in workout 1, and struggles. However, she smiled throughout. She too knew she was out there representing you all. For someone that will be taking a few years off from competition, her going back to the individual stage was a fitting send off. She was, and will always be, considered a part of the 2017 Regional Team. I could not be more proud of her. An awesome Regional weekend was had, and you know we’ll try and top it next year! Look for big things in 2018.
