Almost 1 year ago Mitch Sortillon walked into Precision CrossFit’s doors. I had met him before at various competitions but never really had spoken to him. I remember thinking he was a good athlete, but not really much more. Then Mitch became a part of Precision, a staple in the gym everyday. I quickly became very impressed by his work ethic. His drive for success resignated with every movement he made. I knew Mitch was for real. He was more than just an athlete, he was a mentally strong person with the will to want to succeed. No matter your talent. If you don’t have the mental fortitude to put in the work required than you will never find the success you are looking for. Mitch Sortillon has this. He’s not the strongest guy. He’s not the best athlete. However, he will give it everything he has. He is a true example of the Kevin Durant qoute; “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard.”

Beyond his athletic prowess I find Mitch to be a genuine person with phenomenal values. After meeting his family, on more than one occasion, it is easy to see why. Mitch you are a role model, and a phenomenal human being. Regardless of what happens in the world of CrossFit, know that you are something truly special. Have a wonderful birthday my friend. Enjoy!
